Bumpdate: Week 20 & Gender Reveal

How far along?  20 weeks!! HALFWAY!! Where did that time go? Size of baby?  A Beligian Endive (whatever the heck that is!! Just going off what the app says :)) Somewhere in the 5-6 inches long and about 3/4 of a pound in weight Weight gain?  The nurse said I have gained 7 pounds so far! Maternity clothes? I wore maternity pants for the first time last week, the waist is a little too big still, but they are SO much more comfortable than my normal pants and that stupid hair tie trick.  Sleep? I’m sleeping really good right now! This little one likes to be really active at night so sometimes it takes a little bit to fall asleep. Queasy? Nothing!! We even ate at Chik-fil-A again and it was good this time around! Cravings? I’ve always really loved cold cereal so that hasn’t changed, but it sounds good ALL day long!! I’m also still really loving fruit. Movement? This baby has been really, really active!! It started getting more often at about 18 weeks and Logan felt if for the first time that week. The moment he felt it was SOOO special. It made me feel like he really got to be a part of these special little moments with the baby. The ultrasound tech even commented about how active the baby is during the ultrasound. Weird moment this week? Not being able to button up my favorite coat anymore. The top two buttons are fine, but that bottom one won’t be working anymore this winter- haha! Best moment this week? When the baby first came onto the ultrasound, it waved to us!! I definitely cried during that ultrasound to see our baby moving around and that it was healthy. Looking forward too? The big baby kicks and punches where you see the tummy move! I love feeling it all the time and the idea of seeing the tummy move makes me so excited!! I Gender? You have to watch the video to find out!! 🙂

The ultrasound was seriously one of the best things ever!! We told the tech that we didn’t want her to tell us what the baby was, but to put it in an envelope. As soon as the baby came on the monitor, it was a tighter shot of the face and it waved to us. It made my heart melt!! The tech was so kind and answered all of my non-stop questions. Everything looked good and the baby is measuring for 3 days earlier (June 7th) so I’m guessing we might be having a big baby- we were both a little over 8 pounds!! My mom filled some poppers with confetti of the gender and we were able to announce to my family all at one time with two of the families on Facetime. We announced to Logan’s family this past weekend once everyone was in town! Without further delay… It’s a…

Haha I love it! The same thing happened to me–I thought my baby was going to be a girl… then found out it was a boy! Boys are so fun though (although I don’t know anything different ????). Congrats!!!
