When a couple loves ice cream as much as Logan and I do, I always know we’re going to hit it off! As I got to know Abi and Brandon, it became clear that they might like ice cream even more than us and it was such a fun time with them. Early spring in Idaho Falls can be tough for engagements because of that wind that seems to always be blowing. Abi and Brandon didn’t let that wind bother them one bit and we found the perfect places to keep them as tucked out of the wind as possible. We had a little mini rainstorm, wind, and sunshine during our time together and it all worked out PERFECTLY!
Brandon and Abi were so easy to get to know and I loved hearing their story. When Abi’s sister, Grace (who you will meet here on the blog soon), set up Abi with her fiancee’s roommate, it wasn’t Brandon. It was a different roommate!! But as things weren’t really going anywhere with that roommate, Brandon was a good friend and asked if he could take Abi out. Initially, he said that he would wait a couple of weeks, but while they were passing notes in the silent section of the library a few days later, he wasn’t waiting anymore. He passed a note asking her to ditch her plans or any dates she had that night to go out with him.
That first date, Abi broke her rule that first dates should only last an hour. They went from dinner to sledding and back to Brandon’s apartment to keep talking, I’d say that took a little longer than an hour!
Shortly after their relationship started, Brandon needed to have surgery on his spine and Abi was right there for him through the whole process and still continues to be! When a couple is this happy and strong together after going through something tough, you know it going to be a good one. Brandon knew exactly how to make Abi laugh from the very beginning of our session and kept at it the entire time! Enjoy some of my very favorites!
