Because Logan and I grew up 15 minutes apart from each other (and never met) and our parents still live in those same cities, we have a holiday schedule. On the certain years we do Thanksgiving with the Petersons and then Christmas with the Fowlers and vice versa. Instead of trying to split our time between families, we dedicate our full attention and time to those families. This has made for good memories and intentional time, which we are all about!
Two years ago, we had a Peterson Thanksgiving and it was the perfect time for us all to be together for family pictures. It was an odd November for Idaho, there was no snow on the ground, fall was clinging to its final few frosty breaths. We made our way to the location and although it was a little chilly, we finished up our 2013 family pictures and went home to eat turkey. Flash forward 2 years to this Thanksgiving. We had made plans to take family pictures again, because since our last ones, we’ve added both JJ and little Roman. This has been one of the only chances we had all year to have us all together to snap these pictures. Thanksgiving morning came and we woke up to fresh snow on the ground, but the pictures must go on- we were actually excited about the snow!
We got everyone through and mostly everyone stayed warm- my toes felt like they were going to fall off. We got all of the images we were hoping for and made it back in time for a couple of the boys to take little naps and to get the rest of the food finished up for the Thanksgiving feast! We spent the rest of the day laughing, play games, and Black Friday Thursday shopping.
Something funny to note in these pictures- I came from a family of all brothers and Logan came from a family of all sisters, I think we were just meant to be!

For those of you who think our pictures are always cute… You’ve never seen the folder full of images that look like this. These were the last images we took and look at all the snow I packed onto my shoes during the session. My toes were ice cold after!
