Our time on the east coast was packed with a million things to do and see! We’ve shared about all the places we went and saw and we just announced Meghan took pictures for us to go with our soon to be new site! But we haven’t shared these images yet!!! I’ve been so excited to share Adam and Meghan’s anniversary session because it was such a wonderful thing to be a part of. I’ve known Meghan since I was a freshman in high school and Logan met her around Christmas last year, but being on the east coast was our first time ever meeting Adam.
Over the two weeks that we were with them, I was able to see them in their environment and witness what their marriage is capable of. Meghan and Adam’s marriage is capable of teaching, loving, and raising two wonderful little boys and a little girl on the way. Their marriage is one that will teach their children how to truly love and sacrifice for one another because that is what they will be able to grow up watching and seeing from their parents. I know this personally as I have learned about and witnessed the different things that these two for one another, to help each other grow and become their best self. That was pretty incredible to see. It wasn’t even in big ways that they were doing those things, it was in small moments, taking their turn to help the boys or spending time working on something the other needs. If I can see and feel all of these things in just 10 days of being with them, I know their kids will have the best example to look too.
Meghan warned me that to get to the Washing DC monuments with the least amount of people possible, that we would need to be there at sunrise. Yikes… We are not the best at being morning people. It’s not that we are grumpy, we just prefer to sleep in and stay up late! As we drove to the Thomas Jefferson monument with them, Logan fell asleep quickly. My eyes were heavy and I just let myself stay quiet, listening to the two of them chat with each other. During this drive, one of my favorite things happened. The two of them heard something funny on the radio- I was too zoned out to know what it was- and they couldn’t stop laughing about it. They laughed and joked together for a good 5 minutes about this one funny thing on the radio. It was so fun to watch this playful side come out in them as we were driving. When we got to the monument, we had the place to ourselves and it was a perfect morning! Slightly overcast with the prettiest lighting. Adam and Meghan just melt into each other so easily and you can tell that their marriage is a priority! Like their wedding rings, there may be scratches and imperfections, but this marriage is theirs and they cherish and protect it. They embrace everything that has happened in their marriage that has made them stronger and they have thrived!!
Enjoy some of my very favorites from their session!
I will always cherish our 7th anniversary simply because of this session! thank you for capturing my vision, our love, and this stage of marriage. I can’t pick just one or two, so I’ll simply have to make an album!!
Meghan!!! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your marriage and your love. You two have something so special and I cannot wait to see that album! 🙂
