Austin and Kaytlyn The Barn on 1st Wedding

Barn on 1st Wedding | Austin and Kaytlyn

It ages me quite a bit to see the kids I used to babysit getting married, but it was so much fun being a part of Austin’s Barn on 1st wedding day! I met up with Kaytlyn for a few getting ready shots. Then, after they exited from their ceremony at the Idaho Falls LDS temple, we took a few quick portraits along the grounds. Luckily for us, we had already taken their formals, so portraits on the day of the wedding were a breeze! You’ve heard me say that winter weddings come with their own challenges. Well, one of Austin’s good friends slipped on the ice during family photos and almost took Kaytlyn down with him! We were all so glad that that was avoided!!

When we got to their reception space at the Barn on 1st, I was in love with their decor. I remember clearly the day we took their engagements, and Kaytlyn told me her vision for their wedding day. I think she pulled it off seamlessly!! With the blue and white painted vases, the florals, and the farmhouse-styled tables for friends and family to gather at, it was such a beautiful, cozy space! I also loved the pearl accents that ran through all the wedding details, as well as the pops of blue and the aneomone flowers!

One of my favorite moments of the reception was the father/daughter dance. Kaytlyn had even changed into a different dress that allowed her to show off some fun moves with her dad! Watching them dance together had me setting goals to learn to not only dance with Logan, but then to teach our kids to dance like this too! I think dancing is a lost “art” that I wish more people did!
At the end of the end, Austin and Kaytlyn shared one more private dance and then they exited to a row of sparklers sending them off into the night! It was the perfect end to a perfect day!
