You know, I should have posted this in 2017, but I wanted to wait until after our last wedding of 2017 that happened on the 30th just in case we had any more BTS photos and I’m beginning to think I should have posted this before because the most embarrassing photo of all time of me has officially made it into this post. But we wanted to show you just how cool we really are, so you get to see that one in all of its glory. Ha!! 🙂
We had the best 2017 for so many reasons- baby Jai being at the top of the list but we also had some of the best couples ever. We shot 4 weddings before we had Jai and 8 after so these photos include some with my little pregnant belly and being honest it makes me miss it just a little bit. I loved being pregnant- but we are in NO rush to add more babies to our family yet! One of the weddings prior to Jai was shot in Arizona and when we flew in, our rental car was upgraded to a free luxury car as a baby gift and that was amazing! We drove around in an Infinity and loved every minute of it. Plus, we got to sport our swimming suits and bask in the sun months before the sun really came to Idaho! One of our weddings was a very intimate elopement in downtown Idaho Falls and it was such an honor to be able to be a part of that. It was so involved with all the family and it was such a sweet experience for us. We walked to our cars from that wedding with the biggest smiles plastered on our faces. The first wedding of 2017 was in January and it gave us a chance to see some of our past brides! We met up with one of our couples for ice cream and another couple came to the wedding reception. We love when our brides are friends!! It’s the best! The Idaho Falls temple reopened and we were able to shoot there 3 times!!! Hallelujah!! That’s one of my favorite LDS temples to photograph. We rode a chairlift to the top of Pomerelle Ski Resort and I was freaking out the whole time not that I would drop my gear but that my shoe would fall off!! Haha!! And to top it off, we shot our first wedding in Island Park and we got STUCK STUCK for an hour…. That is one reason I hate winter in Idaho. I won’t share the whole story, but that was enough to make me want to buy a 4 wheel drive car and never go anywhere in the winter ever again! Other than Arizona and one trip down to Utah, we stayed in Idaho for all of our weddings this year. From Island Park to Rexburg to Idaho Falls to Pomerelle to Boise we made our way around Idaho for weddings and we fell in love with staying “home” in Idaho for weddings. We had such great second shooters with us this year too! Logan had Emily and Carrie second shoot with him for different weddings and Meghan and Carli came to shoot with me! My hair went through a lot of different looks and Logan’s facial hair comes and goes throughout these too.. We feel so blessed to have worked with everyone we did and so grateful to be able to have spent time working together to serve our couples. Thank you for such an incredible 2017-what a year! We shot a very intimate elopement in downtown Idaho Falls and these candles, exposed brick, and greenery were so amazing!!!
I can’t ever get a normal light test photo of Logan. There’s always some sort of pose or face! My favorite veil flipper
He’s always getting in my shot 😉 But he is really helpful for hanging dresses! Hello pregnant belly in the bridal suite If you ever wondered what the deer in the headlights facial expression looks like… enter my most embarrassing photo ever
First looks with Logan and Carrie
Logan was always ready to pull out Paw Patrol on his phone for kiddos
The last engagement session before Jai!
And a huge thanks to our second shooters!! All these photos of Logan and I both shooting came from Carli but we didn’t get one of her shooting with us I guess everyone makes faces when we test light 🙂
Glad Carrie was taking this moment seriously.. we were just so happy! Last wedding before Jai :Look at that mountain man beard- haha!!
