Brad and Oakley’s relationship started completely as friends. They got to know each other really well as the best of friends going on trips together and hanging out with groups of people. When Brad’s little sister was getting ready to leave on an LDS mission, she told him that he couldn’t get married while she was gone, but if he did it could only be to Oakley- even though they were still just friends. While Brad was at BYU- Jerusalem and texting her as friends, she thought to herself that she could marry him, but they’d never even held hands. And then it all fell into place for them. Together they have enjoyed a lot of adventures, making memories in between school work, and being finally really being together. When Brad proposed, it was in Jackson hole at one of their “spots” with all their friends there to be a part of it. And even though Brad says he was so nervous and has no idea what he was saying, it was perfect for Oakley just the way it was.

As soon as I met these two, I had to ask them if they really trusted me. Thankfully, they said yes- I must make a good first impression! They needed to trust me because we were going to hike to the top of a mountain area to get an amazing view and for some brand new places that I’ve never shot before, but had found before meeting up with them. The result was incredible, even though I had to stop and catch my breath a few times on the hike up… I may not be in the best shape right now. Getting to know these two as we hiked around was truly so much fun and we had the best time!! Oakley only has two weeks left in Idaho before she heads back to California until their wedding and I’m sure these two are going to soak up each little moment they have together. I can’t wait to see these two together again in August for their wedding!!
