I had been looking forward to seeing Oakley and Brad from the moment we hugged goodbye at the end of their engagement session at the beginning of May. Oakley and Brad hiked to the top of a mountain with me for their engagements at Kelly Canyon and they were perfect!! Be sure to check those out here.

These two had something about them that just drew me to them. Their kindness and friendship made working with them such a treat for me because I did not feel like I was working with “clients, ” I was working with friends. These two seriously are incredible together- from their romance and chemistry to their laughter and happy glow. You could tell that these two are starting off their marriage on the right foot together. Oakley and Brad spent almost the entire summer apart while she was home in California and Brad was still in Idaho finishing out another semester of school. That made this bridal session even sweeter as they had only been together for a few days prior to their session. It made the romance and smiles even bigger and better than their engagement session. The weather had us all a little on our toes as it called for rain and their wedding was the next day, meaning we had to get their bridals done that night. But the rain stayed away, but left us with that soft even light that happens only on the overcast days!! Brad and Oakley shared the perfect first look that was full of excitement and just a little bit of nerves. We shot around the Bountiful LDS temple for the first part of the session because there was hardly anyone there, giving us access to all the grounds without distractions of everyone walking around in the background. After we wrapped up shooting there, we headed over to a beautiful area that had rolling hills with weeds that had become dry and golden in the summer heat, making the perfect backdrop for photos!

Saying goodbye at the end of their bridal session was easier than their engagements because I knew I was going to see them again the very next day to be able to be a part of their wedding day as they promised to love each forever and to keep choosing each other every day into eternity!! Their wedding day was so special and I cannot wait to share it all next week!!
