Being a photographer has given me a lot of opportunities to connect with a lot of different people that I probably would not have been able to connect with, if it wasn’t for photography!! One of the best parts about being a photographer though, is that I get to reconnect with my friends and spend time with them while taking their pictures! I have truly felt so blessed to know that I get to be a part of these times in their lives. We have been able to photograph some of my best friends’ weddings and get to share in their day in such a unique and special way.
In high school, there was a group of 4 of us friends who were always really close. Now that we’ve been graduated for 5 years (where did that time go?!), as this same little group of friends, we try to go to lunch or dinner together once a month or every other month. At our get together in July, Janie mentioned that she was wanting some updated pictures of her and Chase as they were coming up on their 4 year anniversary this December. We decided to wait for some more of the fall colors to come into action and then she gave me a call to set up a date and a session. Our schedules lined up perfectly for us to get together and drive up to Swan Valley to one of their favorite places, I think it’s called Little Deer (but I could be TOTALLY wrong, hahaha!!). As we drove together, I was able to catch up with them on where life was heading for them and how things had been going over the past 4 years. We smiled, laughed, and joked about all the funny things that have happened and it was the best thing to see Janie’s smile and the happiness that she feels because of Chase! Chase is seriously could not be more perfect for her and I’m so happy they are together!!
We drove through some really crazy rainstorms and knew that we might have to just shoot in the rain if it came down to it, but the location was in a little cove that protected us from all the storms!!! The one things that we did experience the wind, in the best way possible!! The wind made those yellow fall trees rain leaves at one point. It was AMAZING!!! Enjoy some of my favorites and see if you can spot the leaves raining 🙂
