A month ago, I blogged my friends, Janie and Chase’s anniversary session. In the blog post (INSERT LINK), I talked about just how special it has been to be able to photograph my friends and be a part of these fun and special times in their lives. But I did not tell you just how special it was to photograph Janie and Chase this time.

When Janie called me to schedule a session, she reminded me of how I had them write a promise to each other on frames during their bridal session 4 years ago. She asked if they could do that again and then said, “well because…” and I immediately knew she was going to say she was pregnant. I freaked out, started yelling and said, “YOU’RE PREGNANT!!!!!” And she laughed and said yes!!! She had been so nervous to say it out loud, because I was the first person she told!! Janie was wanting to write it on her board and announce it to Chase during their anniversary session to be able to have his reaction captured forever. And then I got emotional. To be asked to be a part of such BIG times in my friend’s lives like their weddings and pregnancies, etc, really means the world to me.

Logan wasn’t going to be able to come to the shoot, so I took the video gear too and made a little mini video for them too!! It was so much fun to put all of this together and I’m SO excited that the cat is out of the bag and I don’t have to ask her in secret how she is doing and I can finally share their video and photos!!! I’m so happy with how it all turned out and that I got to be a part of this moment, to celebrate with them!!
