As my siblings and I all sat around my parents house this past Easter weekend, we all shared about how our 2 favorite times of the year to be at my parents house is Halloween for our annual Halloween party and Easter for the adults egg hunt.
Once we were all married, my parents started having an adult couples egg hunt. After the kids all ran around the front yard finding their color of eggs, the adults went to the backyard to find theirs. Just like the kids, each couple had an assigned color, but only 2 eggs to find between the two of us. Every year Logan and I get assigned the pink eggs, not sure if it is on purpose or if it just happens by chance, but each year when the colors are announced, pink is always us!
This is the part my dad loves! He takes some time to hide the eggs and this year he really stepped up his game. It’s usually pretty difficult, but this year was way harder and so fun!! Eggs were anywhere from on the roof of the shed, in a small hole in a tree, in a jet ski that you had to put into reverse to find it, and more!
Earlier that day, we spent time with the Peterson family finding Easter eggs and baskets. It took us awhile to find them all even with the map Paul and Tami drew, but we got it done!! After the egg and basket hunt, we spent time talking together about the Easter season and how grateful we are for our Savior Jesus Christ and bearing our testimonies about Him. It was such a wonderful experience to reflect on the true meaning of Easter all together.
We are so grateful for the time we had to spend with both the Peterson family and the Fowler family this Easter.
Here’s a some pictures to recap our Easter egg hunt with the Fowler side!
Trying to take pictures of the adults usually has us like….
