I always love when I get the chance to take family photos in Shelley Idaho! This family was no exception. I met Whitney when I photographed the team at Ashley Webb Interiors. When she asked about wanting a family session, I let her know I was about to open my dates and she snagged one. I was so excited to get to work with her again!

I often work with families that have all boys and one girl — that’s how I grew up! The Simpson family, though, is the opposite! One boy and all girls, just like Logan! Logan falls more in the middle of his siblings, but watching this family interact still made me smile. Their son was so kind and loving to those sisters of his, and I loved to see it.

The light was absolutely incredible for this session and I’ll probably never get over the outfits she chose for her family!! Aren’t they perfect? It doesn’t take expensive or elaborate clothes to make it all come together. Instead, pay more attention to the details and accessories. For this session, the eyelet details and the headband on the youngest daughter, as well as the prints and textures on the others, made for the perfect blend for photos!

I loved that we got the Christmas card photo to make Grandmas happy to see their smiling faces. But what I always love even more is when we get to be playful and capture some of those candid, real laughter between siblings and parents
