Kaiden and Taya got married in the Idaho Falls temple on a weekend with the tulips in full bloom and wind that had everyone’s hair whipping! One of the things Logan leaned close to whisper to me after these two exited the temple was that he wished we had more time with them because after watching how Kaiden and Taya interacted with everyone, it was plain to see that these are the kind of people you want in your life!
During all the family photos, that infamous Idaho Falls wind worked it’s magic and we were moving back and forth trying to hide from that wind for even just a few minutes. Kaiden and Taya took it all in stride though and were smiling through the entire thing.
Kaiden and Taya’s wedding reception was across the river from the Idaho Falls Temple at The Hilton Garden Inn. It was a reception that was jam-packed full of friends and family. Take that point that Logan made about wanting to get to know them better and you can tell that everyone these two have come in contact with was left better than before.
As Kaiden and Taya headed outside to share their first dance under the lights and sunset sky, with sparklers all around them, we couldn’t help but think that this was the perfect ending to their wedding day. The wind had stopped, leaving the perfect spring evening for this dance. We loved watching them laugh and twirl together.
Taya’s dad came to the hold his daughter in his arms for their father-daughter dance, I was reminded of all of those photos I saw covering the walls in their home. Thinking of the special relationship that was apparent in photos, I looked up to see how tight they held onto each other and that love that just radiated from them. Let’s just say I’m REALLY good at crying while taking pictures! Taya’s mom joined into the last little bit of their dance and it was so sweet!
When Taya and her dad’s dance was over, Kaiden led his mom to the dance floor and immediately he had her laughing and holding back tears. These two have a special bond and connection that I’m not sure I’ve seen anywhere else. Watching him swing her around and lean side to side has me hoping and wishing that one day when I’m dancing with Jai at his wedding, that we will have a relationship like Jennifer and Kaiden. Don’t worry, I cried through that one too! Ha!
Kaiden and Taya had a wedding day that I’m sure they’ll remember for the rest of their lives from the wind that wouldn’t stop to the groomsmen throw almost ending badly and to that perfect sunset sky that they danced under. It was a beautiful wedding day and I’m SO glad we got to be a part of this day and that we could meet them, even if wasn’t for as Logan wished!
