When Natalie reached out to me about shooting her wedding, I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped. I’ve known Natalie since she was a little girl and reading that she was getting married made me realize she wasn’t the little girl I remembered!! I just knew Natalie was going to make a beautiful bride and I couldn’t wait for her Idaho Falls Temple Winter formal session and first look!
These two planned their session on the grounds of the Idaho Falls temple for a Monday evening. Typically the grounds for this temple are closed on Mondays, but they were given permission at the Visitors Center to shoot there that day. As a tip to future brides, DO THIS! IT made it so we had the grounds completely to ourselves without anyone walking in the background. It was perfect!!
It was a typical day for a February formal session- very cold, with a thick layer of snow on the grounds of the temple. We all laughed as MacKray turned to see his stunning bride and as he let out his excitement and gushed over how beautiful she was, you could see the puffs of air from his breath! It was that COLD! These two were troopers through the whole thing though and we got beautiful images in our time together.
As we walked around, I heard all about the events that led to them finally meeting after Natalie did a double-take to look across the room at MacKray. Don’t worry, his friends were sure to see that and quickly tell him about it! And after that double-take, it was a done deal!!
