Island Park Family Photography | The Mecham Family

You might recognize this sweet crew from the Island Park family photography session I did awhile back for the Henry family. If not, you’ll definitely want to check out their blogpost here! I was able to do a mini session to get some more images of just this little family. And boy did I love spending more time with them!

This family has become so special to me! I photographed Thomas and Taylor’s wedding years ago! Later, I was even able to take pictures of Emersyn’s birth. There’s something so unifying about being in the room with a family when their baby is born! So now, of course it’s so fun to stay caught up with them.

As always, my favorite part of family sessions is to really capture the kids as they are at that time. I will always get the “Smile at the Camera” portraits. But I also want to be sure to let their personalities shine. So of course I loved that Emersyn was throwing dirt and playing, and just being a wild and free kid. One of my favorite photos from this session is her with her arms stretched to the sky. It looks so inviting and yet so childlike! I will always welcome more portraits with the Mecham family into my life!!
