When we first booked Jordan and Shaèla, it seemed like their wedding would never come. It was in the later part of the year and spring was just beginning to really happen, but their wedding weekend has come and gone. Our trip to Texas for their burlap and lace, classy country wedding has passed. But what a beautiful day it was!!
Waking up on Saturday, the rain was coming down hard and the sun was no where to be seen. As it came time that we were praying for a break in the storm when we were getting ready, the sun began peeking through the clouds and the rain let up. The rain left a beautiful overcast sky for some of our portraits and then gave way to a beautiful sun that made for incredible back lit images. Their wedding day was full of family and friends from all over. Each of them has friends that loved them dearly, and made the drive or flight from anywhere to be there on this special day. Each bridesmaid was given a necklace of a compass to remind them that no matter where they physically lived, they were always a part of Shaèla’s life.
When I first saw Shaèla’s cathedral vei, it left me speechless and I was swooning over it all day. But when the moment came that we turned her around to get the sun just right and she held her veil as the wind whipped it around, it moved spectacularly and she radiated. She radiated the look of that new bride, recently married to her sweetheart, and ready for everything that came with the name of wife. Jordan smiled and adored her all day, from across the room to the moments of being side by side. It was obvious that he felt he couldn’t be any happier than he was in those moments, on that day, with his new wife.
They danced the night away with friends and family celebrating alongside of them to make the night a sweet and special one. Thank you Jordan and Shaèla for letting us be part of this beautiful day for you!
