As a first time mom, I felt like things went pretty well. I wasn’t shocked by anything that came with labor and delivery. I way overpacked for the hospital, but I had known what to expect after some really good chats with my sisters-in-law. Things went really good for me. But there was one thing that I definitely struggled with in the beginning. Nursing was much harder than I had originally thought and expected. That was the one thing I wasn’t prepared for- the movies made it look like it was just so “natural” and “easy.”At the hospital, you wear a gown with snaps that just pops right off and makes nursing life much easier. When I left the hospital and was trying to not only figure out nursing our new baby but also having to wear actual clothes and not just the snap off robes, left me feeling pretty frustrated. How was I ever supposed to figure that out?! Not to worry, I did! It just took some time 🙂 Grateful that it has all worked out and that we just needed some time to gain some more confidence in it. Jai and I were both new to that!! #firsttimers Nursing has also meant really paying attention to what I wear because not all of my pre Jai clothes are nursing friendly, as in there are too many layers or the top is just too long!!
One thing I was feeling a little sad about was having to wear skirts to church. I love wearing dresses to church, but I only had one that was nursing friendly and I knew I needed some more to make that work for me. Then I was introduced to the Roolee MOM line by my sister in law. Â This line is all nursing friendly dresses that I’m obsessed with!!! Each dress has zippers down the sides that makes it so much easier to nurse. This way I’m not pulling my dress up over my head trying to nurse- no one wants to see that (well maybe Logan does, ha!) But these dresses make it so much easier. Just zip down the side you are nursing from!! Easy peasy! It makes nursing life so much better and not just for church! I’ve been wearing my dress all over the place. I feel good wearing it and I know that it works perfectly for nursing. Win-win
All of you nursing mamas or soon to be mamas check out these dresses! You won’t regret it!!! Plus, they just launched a few new dresses for fall. Don’t mind me if I just buy them all!!
I’m wearing the Navy Easy Dress.
