With Logan’s finals during December, we honestly didn’t have a lot of time to do much. He was busy presenting, preparing, studying, and working on group projects- bleh. He finished up the semester, we shot our last wedding of the year, and the next few days, were spent working hard to get all prepped for taking TIME OFF over the holidays!! We headed out to on a double date with our friends the Tuesday before Christmas to see Star Wars- it really was amazing!! Later that night, we packed up our car, unplugged EVERYTHING that we possibly could (because it always stresses me out) and headed down for Shelley. We’ve been looking forward to Christmas for awhile now! We knew that it meant the end of the semester and a break from school and that we’d get to spend time with my family. We all are so busy that it is really hard to get together with everyone. This year we were missing our the Colorado Fowler‘s (my brother and his family), but we all loved the time we had together.

The next day, Christmas Adam as my in-laws call it, was spent babysitting my nephew and Logan had to finish up some Christmas shopping! While I was babysitting, my mom and I taught Kaden the word hot. Just bring your babies to me, I’ll play with them and teach them their first word- no big deal 😉 That night Logan and I headed back into town to find somethings for my dad’s Christmas present. We ended up with the Stars Wars original trilogy on DVD+Blu-Ray. He was so excited about them, he watched 1.5 of them on Christmas day!

Christmas Eve started off with making sugar cookies and fudge with my mom, because what would Christmas be without those things?! We met up with most of the family for sledding in the new snow that had dumped on us the night before! We were out there for 2 hours and by the end, we were all cold and tired, but it was so much fun. We haven’t all been sledding together like that in a long time. That night, we all had dinner together and we played a few games! The night was wrapped up with a spiritual thought about the greatest gift of Christmas- our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Christmas day started with a breakfast of crepes and breakfast casserole! If you saw our post last week, you know which one I was really excited about and what Logan was happy eating for breakfast!! Then we all watched Kaden come into the room and see his new truck and although he isn’t smiley in the video, he was so happy! He couldn’t be bothered to get out of the truck the rest of the morning. We were so blessed by our families this year, but we are most grateful for the year we’ve had and the memories we made this Christmas. Lots of fun nights, memories, and a few extra pounds!!
