The blog has been so quiet for the past couple weeks because I feel like our life has been SO crazy. We have been to Shelley to have some Christmas fun with our Fowler family and to Rigby for a Christmas party and Christmas Eve and day! We were delivering Christmas cards, finishing up the shopping, and singing Christmas music every chance we had. The whole month of December was full of wonderful things for us. And all month long I felt the Christmas spirit and love as we sat and snuggled by the Christmas tree, looked at the lights as we drove down to Main Street, and seeing the happiness of the season light up everyone we passed.
On the 21st, we headed down to Shelley to celebrate Christmas with my family before everyone left for different places to be with family. We had a yummy dinner and made our way into the family room around the tree and waited anxiously as the big boxes with each couple’s names on, waited to be unwrapped. We opened all of our other presents until we were left with the big box. We all had them placed in front of us and opened them at the same time. When Chelsea’s eyes lit up and she said, “No way!” I was opening the box and joined in with her with the excitement! My parents got each family a wiggle car!! It was cold outside, but that didn’t stop us from getting on our shoes and coats and riding them out on the driveway. I can’t wait to have races with everyone home on them. I’m a big fan of those things that make you feel like a kid again and this sure was one of them!
On Christmas Eve, we spent the evening with the Peterson family opening Christmas
jammies, doing the nativity, decorating cookies, laughing as one of our
nieces loaded a cookies with as much frosting and sprinkles as she
could, and sitting around the tree as Paul read Twas the Night Before
Christmas.
After the kids went to bed, we sat around talking until some had to finish wrapping or for me, finish stuffing Logan’s stocking! 🙂
Christmas morning we all slept in until around 10 (they always sleep in this late on Christmas! And I’m not complaining about that!) Then we had a big yummy breakfast and began opening presents! That night we headed out to see the movie Into The Woods and the rest of the night, we played games and enjoyed being all together.
Christmas jammies!!
Davis isn’t so sure about this new present from Grammy and Papa for Leighton
loved this Christmas. We were give so much and are truly thankful. My
favorite part about Christmas this year was spending it with Logan. He
really makes the holiday even better!
