When I first published our post about hosting this styled shoot, I was nervous. I didn’t think anyone was going to sign up. I was worried that we would be spending a lot of money on this shoot and no one was coming, but we were wrong. So wrong. We had the most amazing attendees who were so kind and excited about the entire shoot. Plus, they all smiled happily being out in the cold for hours!! We spent the afternoon shooting together and freezing in the cold! Afterwards, a lot of us spent time together eating snacks and chatting (At a building that my wonderful, awesome brother let us use for our shoot. I just had to credit him in some way to make him happy!!). While we were there, we were able to get to know those photographers that we didn’t know and it helped us see that we all go through and feel similar things about our work and the industry.

That night I was talking with my mom and she asked if I would ever do this again and without hesitation I said yes. There was something about bringing all these photographers together and creating this beautiful setting that truly brought out my creative side. And the people we met at this shoot truly were the best. We aren’t giving more details than this, but there is another styled shoot coming late this spring!! Photographers be on the watch for more information on that!!

Pulling this shoot together, I was able to meet with and work with the most amazing people. The vendors and our models were truly the reason this shoot came together the way it did. Let’s just brag about them for a minute….

I met with Harts Tux and Gown and they helped me find the PERFECT dresses and tux to compliment the dress. Our florist, Kayla,  went above and beyond everything we expected and helped us get everything all set up!! She dealt with a million emails from me, and created something that I was SO blown away by and those flowers were like miracle flowers. Because I’m obsessed with flowers, we had one of the bouquets sit on our table and we could smell and love them for THREE weeks after the shoot!! Alexi designed all of the invitation suite, menus, and place settings! And here’s the craziest part, she HAND PAINTED the background to them. She is amazing!! Jordan and Mandi made each of the girls look flawless and gave them that finishing touch to really perfect our shoot and vision. Crystal helped us pick out the perfect linens and pull together the right candlesticks to make our table really look the way we wanted. And that sette and chair set she had literally had me speechless!! I met Tess in 2014 at our last wedding of the year because she had made the cake for the wedding. I met her at the reception and died when I found out that she was only a senior in high school at that time. She has serious talent and everyone was floored by the cake she made. Our sweet friend Cheyenne helped us with all of the dessert table, by making so many sweets and running to Sam’s Club to pick up more goodies. We have the best friends!! Our couple Annie and Jay endured the freezing cold for an entire Saturday instead of being out on a date like a newly engaged couple should be (watch for them coming to the blog again soon :)). And Bailey from the other half of the shoot, was my little ray of sunshine the entire shoot! We love her and how willing she was to jump in last minute to help us out for the shoot!
