San Diego LDS Temple Wedding | Parker & Emme
This San Diego LDS temple wedding was literally a dream come true for Parker and Emme. Though they both are from Idaho, Emme had always hoped for a California wedding.
Of course, I absolutely loved the beach vibe from this entire wedding day. Being an Idaho wedding photographer myself, it’s not often that I get to photograph my couples by the ocean and I always love to photograph something new. They made sure to keep their details simple and casual: Emme made their white and delicate wedding invitations herself, her dress was flowy yet oh-so-flattering, and Parker and his groomsmen all went sans ties. (I mean, if you haven’t seen his
barefoot vibe in their First Look Session at the beach yet, you NEED to!!)
During getting ready, Emme was surrounded by her sisters and her mom (though I swear her mom could pass as a sister!). I loved watching her help them with their hair before doing her own. Each one of them helped her get ready in some way.
California Ceremony + Reception
Because Emme and Parker nailed all the details of this beach wedding, we made sure to allow for plenty of time in the flow of their wedding day to capture it all and still keep the casual vibe. After the most stunning portraits outside the San Diego LDS Temple (which looks like a genuine fairytale castle!!), everyone headed to the reception at the Hilton Carlsbad Beach Hotel. The reception was just as epic as you might expect from these two. It included a dinner for the guests and fun toasts from the dads and all the guests. And, of course, an epic dance party that included everyone, including grandpa! I love it when the entire family gets on the dance floor!
Idaho Wedding Reception at The Brickyard
After returning home to Idaho, Parker and Emme had an additional reception at the Brickyard Venue in Idaho Falls. This allowed for all their Idaho friends to come be a part of their marriage celebrations too. The Brickyard reception was fun and different because they had a firework exit that was so fun to photograph! We also made sure to get bride and groom portraits in their Jeep!
