When Patrick and Michelle first inquired with us and I saw their venue was The Chateau des Fleurs in Boise, I knew it was going to be beautiful. I was excited as we emailed back and forth and I heard more of their plans, but nothing quite compared to the excitement I felt as I was able to Facetime them while they were in the Philippines and I was in Idaho. I heard the story about how Patrick was working over there and they met on Tinder. Now that is a pretty incredible story!! I’m so glad that Patrick’s job took him over there because as I watched these two interact on Facetime and then on their wedding day, I was very aware of how perfectly they compliment and benefit each other!! This is one of my favorite things to be able to be a witness to with our couples.
During our chat over Facetime, Michelle shared with me the things that were most important about the wedding and I knew that we were a perfect fit. Patrick and Michelle would be writing their own vows, making promises that they have come up with to tie in their love story and relationship. Vows always make my heart swoon and feel all the romance and theirs did not disappoint. The other thing that was really important to Michelle was her family. She knew that not many of her family would be able to make the trip from the Philippines to Boise for the wedding and she was very considerate with trying to find ways to make them as much a part of it as possible.
As the wedding day came closer, Michelle and Patrick came over to the United States to settle into their new home in Texas and then they set off to travel. They have been so busy since being over here, but everything came together perfectly for their wedding day, except for the fact that Visas did not come through for Michelle’s parents. This played into the day in a big way. Michelle’s brother walked her down the aisle and gave her away to Patrick on behalf of himself and his parents. Instead of a father-daughter dance, we watched a slideshow from her parents that made tears roll down my cheeks. It brought a whole new set of emotions their wedding day, but it was still filled with so much happiness!! I will never get over these images, from the way Patrick looks at Michelle to the way Michelle made the most perfect bride I’ve ever seen.
This blog post was so difficult to cut down on images to share because of the job that each vendor did! Patrick and Michelle’s wedding day truly came together perfectly because of them and because of that, this is the longest blog post I’ve ever shared and I promise it’s worth every scroll! Enjoy!
Huge shout out to their incredible team of vendors for making all of this possible!!!
