I met Megan my first semester of college and she’s been one of those people who has always been so kind and been a cheerleader for me in my photography. She’s mentioned that she always knew she wanted me to photograph her wedding. This last fall, she referred her best friend Megan (so many Megan’s) to me for her wedding and this Megan showed up with a boyfriend!! I knew it wouldn’t be long until it was her turn. I was so excited to get the email that it was official and they were planning for an early spring wedding at the Provo City Center temple!! If you’ve followed me for really any time at all, you will know that I don’t like winter and I’m all about that sunshine and there was plenty of that for Skyler and Megan’s wedding- I even got a sunburn!! The Provo City Center temple is one of my favorites because I think their sidewalks are magic- they reflect the light in the most beautiful day and on a sunny spring day, that is exactly what you need.

Skyler and Megan were surrounded by friends and family on their wedding day and you knew that everyone was so happy that they found each other. If you can’t tell from the photos, Skyler’s nieces were REALLY happy about Megan finally joining their family!! It was the sweetest thing ever to watch those little girls with her. There are a few things I always look for in a couple in our time with them. The first is the way they look at each other when the other isn’t looking back at them. These two looked at each other like they were the only person in the whole world and seeing that alone made me so happy. The other thing that I noticed right away with Skyler and Megan was how they literally seemed to completely relax and be their most comfortable selves when they were together in a photo and holding onto each other. AH!! That makes my heart melt a little puddle just thinking about how important that is- holding onto each other to find yourself and knowing that the other person is your world. After seeing those things on their wedding day, I have no doubt in my mind that these two are already leaving a legacy of love for others to look up too!! So incredibly happy for you two- congrats, you’ve officially made is 2.5 weeks into marriage and you’ve only got eternity to go!
