Swan Valley Engagement Session | Ty and Alissa
This Swan Valley engagement session with Ty and Alissa completely stole my heart! As we headed out for this session, you could see the storms swirling all around. Unfortunately, the location we had picked was clearly going to be right inside a huge storm. We opted to switch locations to Swan Valley and we headed to the directions of blue sky and sunshine. I was so excited for the way the weather was looking at this new location!
When we hopped out of the car, we were immediately being chased by mosquitoes. Bug spray to the rescue! I try to always remember to bring bug spray because you just never know what you’ll get with spring in Idaho. I was so happy to be photographing them in the beautiful greens of the mountains in June. There’s a different green to the mountains in the month of June and it’s unreal! Plus, Alissa’s blue dress was perfect up against the colors in the mountains. I loved it so much.
As we were shooting, we started to hear the rumble of thunder, but we still had blue skies and thought it was all going to be OK! We walked up a little hill away from the car and took some more photos. But then we heard the rain before it hit and we all started running. It was coming fast and hard. It was a lot faster than us and by the time we got to the car, we were soaked! Like I said — you just never know what the Idaho weather is going to give you!!
Of course we had to take one Kissing-in-the-Rain photo. Then we headed back to Mesa Falls to photograph these two in their second outfit. We were chasing the sun this entire session! It ended up being the perfect way to finish up their engagements! I wouldn’t have changed a thing, even with the rain!
