Tanner and Amy were set up at the end of their senior year of high school. Nothing was ever expected to come of it. That is until they spent all of their free time that summer with each other. As Amy went off to college they started dating long distance, and that continued as Tanner left to serve an LDS mission in Brazil. When his two year mission was coming close to being over, Amy felt that it was her turn to go serve a mission and she too was called to serve in Brazil. Over three years, they sent each other hand written letters EVERY week.

When the timing was right with the two of them home, it all fell together perfectly. It wasn’t their plan to fall in love with their future spouse just shortly before graduating high school, but it was that sweet and unexpected love story that had me swooning as I got to know their story.

 

I was so excited to meet up with these two and get to know them together as a couple, but when their scheduled date came, mother nature let it rain and rain all day. We rescheduled for Memorial Day morning and we had perfect timing with it. The rain started rolling in at the end of our session and started falling during the last few shots. The clouds gave us the perfect lighting and all the rain from the weekend made it SO green!! We could not have asked for a more perfect session complete with a hammock and a beach cruiser bike!
