When a couple has been together as long as Taylor and Katelyn, their love story is pretty lengthy!! They met their freshman year of high school, but they didn’t fall in love until their senior year of high school. In Taylor’s words, ” Katelyn and I had met in a Science class our freshman year of high school. She was a cheerleader and well I was just an average joe, but I had thought that Katelyn was very attractive, so I had decided to get her number and start talked to her. Little did I know that the teacher was going to actually have us sit next to each other in his assigned seating arrangement.” That seating arrangement started them off on a good course to lead them to be high school sweethearts!! Being high school sweethearts led her to wait for him as he served his LDS mission and when he came home, things fell into place! And then there was the most epic proposal from Taylor that suited Katelyn perfectly- “A couple weeks before Labor Day weekened we had planned a trip for us to go to Utah and enjoy a little get away. Katelyn had worked really hard to get that weekend off and I had told her that I had the weekend off, but when it came time I told her that I was not able to get that particular weekend off. Katelyn’s mom and her aunt had decided to go run the Disney land half marathon that same weekend….. it was all part of the plan. They were not actually going to run the race. But this got Katelyn and her mom, along with her aunt flew out to California to go run the race. When they had landed in California, the aunt who booked the race got a phone call from the race company saying that the payment didn’t go through on time and they wouldn’t be able to run in the race. To compensate them, they were going to give them tickets for Disneyland. Little did Katelyn know that I was in California as well. Katelyns’ mom had told Katelyn to stand in front of the castle so that they could get a picture- that was my cue to come up behind her. I got down on one knee and when she turned around, I asked the question.” Katelyn loves Disneyland and this truly was the perfect proposal for her!!

Now they are married and starting off on a whole new adventure with their marriage!! Katelyn had told me that they had a spot picked for their portraits, I was excited to see what she had in mind. It was UNREAL!!! The best part was that it was right in Taylor’s parent’s backyard. SO pretty!!! We ended up taking everyone- bridal party and family out there too because it was just too good!! Katelyn’s Grandpa kept doing rounds on a side by side to bring people out to where we were- I think he really loved that! 🙂
