I will always remember the day I received a message from McKenna’s mom saying that they were going 3 for 3 with a wedding a summer for the past 3 years. I was still pregnant with Jai and I knew that this wedding would be the perfect wedding for me to come back from maternity leave after having Jai. Before I shot this wedding, I had assisted Logan with a wedding video at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, but Will and McKenna were breaking me back into being the photographer at a wedding and boy was it a good one to come back too!!

Anyways, summer weddings are my favorite. I love how warm it is outside and all of the colors and the chance to have an outdoor reception. Signature Party Rental made that easy for these two with a big tented reception. I have loved working with them for each of these 3 weddings because each was set up and put together so flawlessly! And I can’t get over their new chairs! Make sure to scroll all the way to the reception photos to see them!! Plus, each of these 3 weddings was a summer wedding!! Ah! Now that’s the life 🙂

It was at their formal session that learned that Will was an amazing pianist. What I didn’t know was that he would be playing the piano as McKenna danced with her dad and to entertain the guests. I was so in awe of how incredible he is on the piano.. he’s so good that he is even on Spotify!! And listening to him makes Jai fall asleep.. I would call that a win!! I really loved how these two incorporated the piano into their reception and made it a big part of their day!

Will and McKenna won my heart over easily during their formal session in the mountains. It was so comfortable being around them. They have a love that is so true and simple. They had each other laughing, stealing kisses in between shots, and making each other feel so loved. Because of that session, I knew their wedding day would be nothing less than that. One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was the hug they shared just after having exited the Idaho Falls temple as husband and wife. They had their arms up, gave a quick kiss and they wrapped their arms around each other in a hug. It was one of those hugs that was full of so much love and excitement at the idea of spending their lives and forever together!! Ah, just so much love for these two!!
