THE JOURNAL

Jordan + Meaghan

I have NO words, which is a strange thing, for how much I loved this session at the Idaho Falls Temple and Utah Capitol Building with Jordan and Meaghan. From the glowy morning light we had at the temple for their first look to the big open grand staircase in the capital that all the tourists and prom goers let us use without any complaint or photobombing. And let’s not forget about Meaghan’s long cathedral veil that makes my heart want to burst! If all of our future brides want to wear long flowy veils, we’re all for it!

I really loved getting to know Jordan and Meaghan at their engagement session, see that here, but at this session, we saw a whole new level of love between them and that was so fun to be a part of and to capture!

The morning of their session, we met an anxious Jordan at the Idaho Falls temple who couldn’t wait to see his bride. As she made her way over to him, his smile spread wide across his face and he quickly wrapped her up into his arms for a hug. We took our time shooting around the temple and using that glowy early morning light and empty temple grounds to our advantage. During the session, Meaghan’s veil kept slipping and falling out. Jordan then made a comment about how he was pretty sure he had a just in case bobby pin in his wallet. WHAT!?!! He went to grab his wallet and he really did have that bobby pin in his wallet and gladly handed it over and saved the day to keep Meaghan’s veil in.

After we finished up at the temple, we parted ways and made our way down to the Utah capitol building to meet up again to finish shooting there. The capital is stunning inside and out with its marble interior and thoughtfully designed exterior. We started inside to try and beat the prom-goers and tourists! As we walked in, we had an open staircase that we happily started on and it was incredible- think Beauty and the Beast but better!

We love when our couples are just truly so giddy and excited about their wedding and to be together and that is exactly how we’d describe Jordan and Meaghan during their session! Enjoy some of our favorites!
