THE JOURNAL

Win a Wedding from Michelle & Logan

Last year we realized something… we LOVE traveling. We love seeing new places and more specifically eating at new places (Torchy’s Tacos is at the top of our list right now). While we love traveling just for fun, we REALLY love traveling to shoot weddings and our couples in new locations and backgrounds. We would love to get out of southeast Idaho a little bit more this year and shoot more weddings outside of this area. Because of that and the fact that we are close to celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary (and feeling all sappy thinking about all the places we’ve been and the time we’ve been able to spend together traveling), we are giving away a photography package for a travel wedding!! It can be anywhere outside of the Pocatello to Rexburg area! The only expense for you would be the travel fee.

Here’s what you need to know: your wedding needs to be in the 2016 year and work with our schedules and already booked weddings. This does not apply to previously booked weddings. Submissions will be open from today to 11:59 PM on January 30th. We have a team working with us to help us select finalists and we will be announcing them on February 1st here on the blog. Voting will begin that day, February 1st and run until February 7th at 11:59 PM! Voting will take place on Facebook where friends and family will need to like your image on our page. The photo with the most likes will win their photography package! Winner will be announced on February 8th!

To submit:

  • Send us an email with a photo of you two to info@michelleandlogan.com
  • Tell us the following in the email
    • How did you meet?!
    • What do you like to do together?
    • What is your favorite date to go on?
    • What is your wedding date and place?
    • Why should we pick you two?

Do you know someone getting married outside of southeast Idaho?! Send them our way! If you have any questions send us an email!! info@michelleandlogan.com

Hi my name is Ashlyn Higbee, I grew up in the small town of Downey, Idaho. My fiancé Nick Feldhausen grew up in Salmon, Idaho, Nick and I met through a mutual friend (Kash Morrisons) girlfriend who I had gone to high school with Haley Ghezzi. On New Years eve 2014 Haley texted me asking me if I wasn’t steady with anyone that she had a really great friend that Kash had went to college with, he had seen a picture I posted on Instagram and thought I was very pretty. Haley told me if I would like she could give me his number, my reply was if he really wants to talk to me he can text me. I didn’t want to be the first to text him since all I knew about him was his first name. So, the next morning on New Years Day Nick texted me. Like most we talked about what we liked to do and a little about ourselves. Nick asked me to go out on a date a couple days later. We ended up going on a double date with Kash and Haley, we went to Lava Hot Springs for dinner and the hot pools. Nick picked me up for our date at my house, he held open the door for me to his truck and told me he was excited for our date. After our first date we went on more dates and hung out almost every day after I would get done with college classes or work and he would get off work. On January 13, 2015 we started officially dating. Woohoo! 🙂 Our favorite place to go on dates would definitely have to be anything outdoors, either hiking, hunting, fly fishing, shooting at the gun range or just being out and doing something. Nick proposed to me on December 13, 2015, we went away for the weekend to our favorite place, Montana since my birthday was December 14th. We had been fishing on the bitterroot when he asked. We were wading out in the water fishing and I had looked over to him and saw him put down his pole and thought he was just changing flies, so I continued to fish. Next thing I knew I had caught myself fishing, literally snagged my shirt trying to cast. So Nick helped me get the fly out of my shirt so I turned to continue fishing. Nick then said “here try this fly out” when I had turned around he was down on one knee and asked me to be his for the rest of our lives. Of course I said YES! Our wedding date is August 6th 2016. As of right now we have not picked our venue. I would be grateful if you picked us because, there is a reason we met, yes everyone does but ours is unique, Nick is my better half and my best friend, we have so many things in common and would love to have our dream wedding that shows our personalities. Thank you for considering us and congratulations on getting plublished!
