When we first met Brittney, she was wearing a Rams jersey and when I heard that it was her fiancé’s team, I felt an immediate bond with her. I mean if she would have been wearing a Packers jersey, it would have been instant friends for sure, but I started out as a Packers fan just for Logan’s sake too and now I’m a full blown cheese head so I’m sure Brittney will get there too! Seeing couples that love and support each other in the things that they each like really makes Logan and I so happy! Fast forward to meeting up in Pocatello for this mountain engagement session with these two, we connected so quickly!
One of the first things these two said to me was, “Hey we have something you need to try with Logan!” I was so intrigued by what they were going to say. Was it going to be a new ice cream flavor? A new game? Nope, it was something that dealt with marriage and relationships and connecting with each other.. You see, they really get us!! They told me we needed to sit down and have a conversation and not look away from each other for FOUR minutes. You’re allowed to blink but you can’t look away from them. Keep eye contact and carry the conversation. Man, that was tough!! And it also felt a little like a competition because we didn’t want to be the one that looked away. We took that challenge as soon as we got home and we got to about 3 minutes and 45 seconds when it was ME that looked away and I didn’t even realize it. It was something that really helped us connect and fully focus on each other and I’m so glad they told me about it!
As we walked and hiked all over Scout Mountain taking pictures, I had them tell me a little bit more about their story and it was hilarious. It all started back in high school when Brittney was a freshman and he was senior, but Brittney claims there was nothing at all. She was too young to be even looking at the senior boys. Flash forward and Facebook had a funny way of reconnecting them and soon after they were on a date. As the date was ending, Davis purposefully missed her turn just to spend more time talking to her. And she didn’t correct him or let him know he missed it either. They both were enjoying it all so much. That was that and now they’re on our blog with their engagements and I can’t wait for you to my favorites! 🙂
