This past weekend on Saturday, Steven and Katelyn were married in the Rexburg, Idaho LDS temple. Although we were not able to make it, we are sure that their wedding day was perfect and full of so much love and happiness. Because we were not there, but we want to celebrate with and for them, we wanted to share some of our favorites from their bridal session a few weeks ago.
When I pulled up to the temple, I knew that I was going to have a few minutes with just Steven in front of the temple before their first look. This was going to be my first time meeting him, and I was anxious to get to know the kind of person that Katelyn was marrying. It was clear quickly that Steven had such a good heart that was full of love, concern, and kindness for Katelyn from the way he spoke about her to the fact that he took off his shoes, tie, and all other wedding details just for an picture for her. He was always so willing to do and try anything for her happiness. Plus, he is the kind of person that just makes people laugh! Even when his shoes were off and he was walking around in his socks, he was having a great time. As Katelyn walked up behind Steven, you could feel the anxiety and nerves building up in Steven, but his excitement to see her was perfect. It’s in these moments of a first look that I think a groom really gets to see his fianceé as his wife. It all becomes real. Those tender moments that happen after the first look are always my favorite- as Steven told her to spin around and gushed over how beautiful she was, because she really was such a beautiful bride!
Katelyn and Steven are really so happy together and I cannot wait to see the adventures that life throws their way and they way they take them on together, hand in hand, the same way they frolicked by the temple 🙂 Congrats you two!!
