During my time at the United conference, I not only was able to sit and learn from the speakers as they gave presentations, but I learned hands on through a couple styled shoots. Styled shoots give everyone a chance to slow down and really focus on improving areas of shooting. At each styled shoot I’ve done, I have focused on different aspects of weddings. One area of wedding days that I can’t get over and that I REALLY love is the details. From the earrings to the bride’s perfume to the invitation suite to the dress, I could literally spend hours taking pictures of it all. It’s all so beautiful and makes a wedding day heirloom album feel complete. These are key details to the day no matter how small they are. Brides make sure to have all of the details you want photographed ready for your photographer to capture when they get there. Having them all together in a bag will save them time from trying to find everything they need and be able to capture all the details to match the feel of your day. Time is something we always need on a wedding day and this helps the timeline continue to flow smoothly without missing images!

Natalie Franke has such a good eye and style for these types of shots and I jumped at the chance to attend her shoot. While I watched and listened to Natalie and Lauren, it became clear that everyone has a distinct style on how they style the details and I was given a chance to practice and really focus on my own style.
