Ashton Reservoir Family Photos on a Boat | The McKinlay Family

This is such a special session to me! How often do I get to take Ashton Reservoir family photos on a BOAT?!

I think you probably already know how adorable Keegan and Alli are. I have photographed their Driggs engagement session, their bridal session, and their Rexburg temple wedding. And most recently, their maternity photos! When I took pictures for Keegan and Alli after she had her sweet baby this year, I was able to see Alli’s mom too while I was there. She talked about wanting to get family pictures taken. But she wanted to get a little more creative about representing their family. At least more than just standing in a field would! I couldn’t agree more for them!!

The McKinlay family lost their son Kade in an accident shortly after I photographed Keegan and Alli’s wedding. Kade was always up for an adventure and trying something new. He was a part of this session in many ways. They told stories about him, brought his picture along, and their dad did a flip on the wake board to end the session in honor of Kade.

Before we got back to the dock, we started talking about more fun things we can do in the future for their sessions and I can’t wait to see what we might come up with!
