When I first met these two at a couple for their engagement session in Salt Lake City, it was obvious how much these two bring out the very best in each other. That was made even clearer, though, at their bridal session. As Chase and I chatted and waited for Lindsey to get to Silver Lake for their first look and took his portraits, I could tell that a little bit of his “glow” if you will, was missing. As soon as Lindsey showed up and Chase turned around to see his bride, his face lit up and there was that genuine happiness. Lindsey brings out that side of Chase and I completely know and understand that feeling because that is how I feel with Logan!! Their first look was so sweet and tender as Chase wrapped his bride up in his arms and gave her a kiss on the side of the head. So much love!!! During their engagement session, Lindsey told me her dress was coming from Alta Moda Bridal and I was STOKED!!! Alta Moda dresses are always so pretty and have such beautiful material. I loved everything about Lindsey’s dress- I’m a little obsessed with the lace on her sleeves and the flowy soft look of the material on the bottom! She was a stunning bride!! We had such pretty lighting right there at the first look spot, that we stayed there for a few more portraits of just the two of them before moving closer to the lake. Chase and Lindsey made my job so easy! We laughed and chatted all about their wedding details as we walked and it was such a fun time. Chase always wanted to kiss Lindsey when they would get close together and I asked them not to kiss yet! The laughter that came from those moments was too good!!

I have been wanting to shoot at Silver Lake for awhile and these two were the perfect couple for it! Even though a lot of the trees had no leaves left, we had pretty pine trees to fill in the color. The only thing I’m a little sad about is that Logan wasn’t able to come with me to this shoot. I know he would have loved the drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon to this spot. These two are officially married now and although we were not able to be at their wedding, we are so incredibly happy and excited for them to start on this new adventure together!
