Kaycee and I met during a summer while we were in high school at EFY. We were in the same company and hung out throughout the week. When it came time to find housing at college, different plans all fell through and Kaycee reached out to me and asked if I would like to be her roommate. I quickly agreed and I’m so grateful for the fact that she asked me to be her roommate! We had such a great semester and became the best of friends. I only lived in single housing for 2 semesters because well… I met Logan and before my next semester that would have been “single,” we were married!! That short amount of time I had with Kaycee was filled with a lot of memories and I’m forever grateful for the difficult times she helped me through and for all of her love and support from that semester.
When I first started seeing pictures of her and Chris pop up in my newsfeed, I’d press like and leave a little comment, just waiting for the perfect time to call her and ask for all of the details. When that time finally came to call her, we talked for a good hour. She gave me all the details about Chris and the kinds of things that she loved about him. We talked about her being happy and I genuinely could tell that she was. She was happy and in love with someone who treats her with so much love and respect. During that same phone call, I knew their wedding date, colors, and we started chatting about pictures, but we couldn’t set anything in stone, because there wasn’t a ring on her finger yet. When Chris proposed, I was so happy to get a picture and text from Kaycee!!! It had finally happened and things were real!!!
When the time came for engagement pictures, these two had been apart for over a week- it feels like the end of the world to be apart when you’re engaged and dating!! Maybe that is what led to the extra playfulness and romance, but I think that this is just a reflection of their relationship. These two are truly just happy together and so in love!! It made my job so easy!! We shot these up at City Creek in Pocatello and the fall colors were PERFECT!! I was concerned that the weather would have taken all the colors away, but there they were in full force from the leaves on the ground to the leaves still clinging to the trees!!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!!
