Colorado Trip | Personal

If you have been watching my blog the past few days you know that I have been gone to Colorado to visit some of my family. Troy’s wife, Carrie, was my first “sister” and they have lived in Iowa, Colorado, Rexburg, and Shelley since they have been married. When they moved to Iowa I was in high school and after graduation I flew out to see them there. Last fall I visited their family in Colorado and I hadn’t seen them since Christmas. I really missed this cute little family and Logan kept telling me to go visit, but none of the weekends really opened up for me to go.
But a couple months ago I realized that I had a free weekend in June and it was the first weekend that Frontier was flying out of Idaho Falls to Colorado. Logan told me to go and so off I went!!

Every time I visit them we stay up way too late and wake up early with the kiddos and play hard all day, this time was no different!

When they picked me up, we headed over to the Denver Aquarium where they have passes to go. The kids showed me all their favorite fish, the sharks, the turtles, and the stingrays. While we were there we even got to feed some stingrays and get our faces painted!!

Feeding the sting rays
Little man and his Tonka work hat- Tyson started to call me “Mabula” while I was there. Not sure where it came from, but I miss his cute little dance about it and how excited he was when he said it.
On Saturday Carrie and I went shopping and then headed to Noodles and Co for dinner!
And we saw the cutest puppy!! I think I might just have to get a puppy!!
On Sunday for Father’s Day we went to their ward and I ended up looking like I planned to match the kiddos. But we sure look cute!
We made donuts and walked to a park that is close by
But then Kylie’s allergies kicked in and when we got home, she didn’t even look like herself!
For Father’s Day Troy got this fire pit and we tested it out with some smores!
On Monday we made a trip to Hobby Lobby to get things to make tie dye shirts. When we got back we inflated the kids pool so the boys would play while made them. We played outside all day and it’s safe to say I got my first sunburn of the year and it’s a good one! One step closer to being tan, I guess.
After a while the boys ended up falling asleep and we tie dyed away! After that we headed to Mason’s T-ball practice and I met some of their friends there!

Mason was really focused during practice
And during practice Tyson and his friend shared a cute little kiss!
After T-ball we headed out to a lake to play in the water and sand
Don’t mind me embarrassing myself here. I set it up on self-timer and I might have fallen at the exact moment it went off
The next day we all wore our tie dye shirts around and had a fun time playing outside, taking the girls to gymnastics, and playing at the lake one more time with the boys during gymnastics.

A big thank you to Carrie and Troy for letting me come play and spend time with you!! It was such a good week and I’m so grateful for the memories I have and the time I had with you! Miss you already! Love you guys!
