Frank and Margaret’s elopement was the first time that we had ever been to Grand Targhee to shoot! It was actually my first time ever being there, I’m not the best at snowboarding and I’ve never tried skiing. When we were first contacted for their wedding, I thought I was going to be shooting video all by myself, but the date was in the perfect spot on our calendars to let Logan go with me. We love these drives up into the mountains together! Frank and Margaret timed their wedding perfectly to still have the summery greens that I love, without the crowds of people on the biking and hiking trails. Their wedding day could have only been made more perfect if that weather would have cooperated! The wind made Margaret’s dress whirl and whip around (in the most beautiful way) and kept her hair moving the whole day. Their wedding was supposed to be on the top of the mountain but that wasn’t able to happen due to rain at the top! We were perfectly dry where we were and the smiles these two had on their faces was enough to tell it all!! When we first walked into the hotel/lodge room to meet with Margaret and get her bridal details, she was on Facetime with her sister. I loved listening to her sister chat to her about how special the day was going to be and how beautiful she looked. While we were in the room, the door was knocked on time and time again, as family members called into the resort and asked for things to be gifted to these two. It was amazing to witness how loved Frank and Margaret are, even though the families could not be there to celebrate with them. Their ceremony was special for them and full of meaningful moments that these two shared with just us, Janelle (the photographer) and Haymitch (the officiant). We absolutely loved our time with them and are so grateful to be a part of their special day!
Enjoy their elopement video!
