The Henry Family | Island Park Family Photography
It has now been over seven years since I first met this beautiful family when I photographed their daughter, Taylor’s, wedding. I got to see them all again when Taylor had her daughter, and I photographed the birth. We all waited anxiously in the hospital together for the newest addition to join their family. Talk about a bonding experience!
Years have passed yet again, so when Taylor reached out to ask me to take photos for her whole family, I was so excited! While we were deciding on locations, she made a post on Instagram about her Uncle’s cabin by Mesa Falls/Island Park area, and I told her we should shoot there. She agreed. When I showed up, the spot was even more perfect than I imagined. The location could not have been any better, and the light coming through the forest at that time of day was just right! It made all of their colors, outfits, and skin colors look so clean, natural, and vibrant.
For my extended family sessions, I love to get all combinations of poses and groups. We get individual shots, couple shots, family shots, and of course — the dogs. We made sure to get some with and without the pups, and we had a good laugh when we all realized that Wyatt (baby boy), had some good spit up on Grandma, but you’d never know! It makes my heart sing to see my couples grow into families of their own, and be a part of their lives in such meaningful ways!
