Two years ago I photographed these two for the first time and I loved being able to do it again!! I have met Michaela because she is a photographer too!! And one of the biggest compliments I can get is when another photographer asks you to take their photos!! I felt like it had been forever since I had seen Michaela and Justin together and it was so good to be able to chat with them about how they are doing in school- its finals week for them and we remember those days all too well!! It also gave us a chance to catch up with each other!! Baby Jai was going to come with me to mee them but after checking the forecast the night before, we knew it was going to be too cold for them to be able to meet little man. Next time!

The night before their session, I sent her a text saying, you do know it’s going to be less than 20 degrees outside right?! But they didn’t even let out a little shiver or complain about the cold at all!! Thank heavens we had some sunshine hitting us! Michaela is a true Alaska girl, saying she was doing just fine in the weather, while I’m shivering in my boots… Winter and I are not the best of friends!!

Justin and Michaela have a relationship that is seriously full of so much laughter and joy. I loved listening to the two of them have little inside jokes and say things to make the other laugh. My favorite thing about this session was seeing how much they have grown as a couple in the past two years. It’s one thing to see someone’s perfect Instagram feed and think they are happy, but being able to spend time with them and really feel how much they love each other and the joy that is exuding from them, that makes me so happy to be a part of. Justin and Michaela- thank you for allowing me to be part of your love story again! 🙂 I think the world of you guys!! And Morgan Fay did Michaela’s makeup and it was PERFECT!!!
