Blaine & Shelly | Rexburg Idaho Temple Bridal Session

Blaine and Shelly already knocked snow portraits out of the park with their winter engagement session in Idaho Falls. After freezing through their engagements, I was sure that their Rexburg Idaho Temple bridal session would be even the tiniest bit warmer. But I was wrong! So very wrong! Shelley was brave and started the session with beautiful heels. But then she opted to switch to her cute boots instead. Winter weddings can be tricky like that. It’s just one of the times where you gotta roll with it! It’s more important to keep yourself warm when you’re already in a dress in an Idaho winter! Plus, those big beautiful wedding gowns do a great job of hiding boots anyways.

We started their session out at Beaver Dick Park in Rexburg. These two shared the sweetest first look. I love Blaine’s look of surprise and love when he sees her for the first time. These First Look sessions are always so special and intimate. It allows my couples to really soak in this phase, and to celebrate their love.

After the park, we headed over to the Rexburg Idaho temple. I fell in love with this one tree that had so much color left over from the fall still. We had to get as many portraits as we could with that pop of color! It was perfect to balance out the white of the temple, the snow, and Shelly’s dress. These two have been such a joy to witness throughout their engagement period, and I can’t wait to finally– officially! — see them as husband and wife!
