Rexburg LDS Winter Wedding Derek and Ale

Rexburg LDS Winter Wedding | Derek and Ale

Do you remember Derek and Ale’s  Mesa Falls Bridal Session? Well, if you thought that was stunning, just you wait!!  Their Rexburg LDS Winter Wedding was nothing short of perfection! Although photographing weddings in the winter can be difficult, there’s not much better than the blue skies of a cold, crisp, and clear day! Plus, I’ve never met a couple so wildly smitten with each other as these two. They made my job so easy!

We started the day with the two of them bursting with joy after exiting the Rexburg LDS Temple. We took family portraits and of course photos of just the two of them. Nothing beats those We Just Got Married portraits! After the temple, I was able to get a few “getting ready” photos with their details. I love having a little bit of time to capture things like the ring, the flowers, dress, and shoes. These small details really add up and contribute to the entire feeling of the day! Then off to the luncheon at the Atrium Event Venue in Rexburg!

Special occasions such as wedding days can make us miss loved ones even more than normal. Ale honored her late father in so many small, beautiful ways throughout the day. They also played a video with pictures of the two of them and the ring. But most important, he was talked about many times, and Ale knows he would have loved Derek.
There were lots of other personal touches that were so thoughtful and unique to Derek and Ale’s relationship. During their luncheon they played “Find the Guest” Bingo so their guests could interact and have fun with each other. Both them and their parents gave heartfelt speeches. They projected their First Look video and had it playing in the background during their first dance. It was honestly such a memorable, meaningful luncheon and reception! But then they ended the night going out in style, of course! They changed their outfits and headed out into the night with a sparkler send off!
