Bridal Portraits at Utah State Capitol

Bridal Portraits at Utah State Capitol Building | Bailey & Cobe

I’m not sure I’ve ever been as excited for a session as I was for these bridal portraits at Utah State Capitol building!! After taking Bailey’s photos throughout much of her life, her babysitting for us when we just had Jai, her telling me all her Pinterest dreams for a wedding–it was hard to believe that this was finally it!! Bailey had sent me photos of her trying on dresses, possible hair style ideas, and more. She made me feel so included in the wedding planning all along the way. When we talked about going to the Utah State Capitol building for their bridal portraits, it just felt so right! Bailey’s vision felt like it was straight out of a fairytale princess movie and we both agreed that this was the best backdrop for that!
The day we photographed their bridal portraits, the weather was an actual dream with the most beautiful light at the Utah State Capitol building. When I saw Bailey walking down the stairs to Cobe, I was sure we were in a movie because it looked too perfect to not be!! And the building felt almost desolate with hardly anyone there. We had totally lucked out in every way for this session. After getting all the best angles with the marble, columns, and stairs inside the building, we ended our session outside. I seriously could not believe the views we were capturing.  Shooting this session also took me back to when we had her model for us in the dead of winter for a bridal shoot when she was just 17 years old!! And now here she was, a real winter bride. Just perfection!
