I know, I know — my absolute LOVE for family photos has surprised me, too. But sessions like this one in Shelley, Idaho just has me falling in love all over again. We played, we laughed, we cuddled. We witnessed and captured this exact time in their life. Everything changes so quickly that by the next time you schedule family photos, everything will be just a little bit different. For the Murphy family, with their sweet baby girl growing up surrounded by the best older brothers (I can SO relate to this!) it’s just all going to go so fast! It was so fun to see the way these brothers interact with and love on their little sister. It melted my heart.
That’s why I can’t say it enough: get in front of the camera with your kids! Capture how they *really* are at this moment of time. Of course, we love the standard everyone-smile-at-the-camera shots. Don’t worry; I’ll get those! But we’re also going to get the craziness and happiness that is RIGHT NOW.
We found the prettiest patch of light on this dirt road. The way the sun filtered in through the golden leaves perfectly caught the essence of fall. And of course, I had to take a moment to pull just Mom and Dad aside for some romantic shots (though see if you can find where *one little boy* had to sneak in for snuggles). I love honoring their love story that started it all!
