These two just make my heart SO dang happy. It might have to do with the fact that I think Makenna might be one of the happiest brides I have ever seen- just wait until you see their wedding video, her smile will make you feel so happy!! From the time that Stockton turned around to see Makenna as his bride, his reaction was full of so much love, anticipation, and excitement. That’s the reason I always love first looks, sure you know the wedding is coming up soon, you talk about it all the time, and you’ve been engaged for a few months, but when that all becomes real as you see each other as bride and groom during this session. Man- it’s just so good.

Now let me tell you more about these two- they started dating in high school, right around the same time that their siblings got married. Yep, you read that right! Makenna’s sister married Stockton’s brother and I distinctly remember that at their reception these two were really flirty and sweet together but I had no clue they were starting to date and like each other. Flash forward to this day as we walk around the Idaho Falls temple, trying not to be blown away by the wind and I bring that memory up with them. They laughed and said that was about the beginning of their relationship. That’s quite the story in my opinion and I feel like I have been a part of it from the very beginning!!

Like I said, we were honestly trying not to get blown away while shooting these but the way Makenna’s dress moved in the wind was a whole new level of pretty and I think I’m completely in love with her dress!! Be sure to look for one of my favorite images of her throwing her dress!!! And the best part, it only took her ONE try to get it perfect!
