Today is my 23rd birthday!! I’ve been struggling with the thought and idea of being 23. That is another story for another day though- I’m slowly coming to terms with the idea that Taylor Swift hasn’t made a song for this year. But I’m getting over it and I am so excited for the adventures to come in this year! To help you get to know me better, I’m sharing 23 random facts about me that have NOTHING to do with photography!

1. I love decorating homes and the thought of renovating a house makes me giddy!!
2. I love Grey’s Anatomy!! Anyone else with me on that?
3. Summer is my favorite time of the year! I’m thinking sandals, sunshine, and snow cones!
4. I don’t like making crafts. Pinterest is filled with tons of DIY crafty stuff, but honestly it sucks all my creative juices away! And crafts take WAY too long to finish.
5. For now, Hawaii has my heart with its sandy beaches, sunshine, snow cones, and swaying palm trees.
6. I’m obsessed with the movie Tangled. My first copy of it got scratched and started skipping; I was devastated. I got a new one so I can watch that lantern scene over and over again!!
7. While I was growing up, I danced for 14 years (from age 4-18). Now I get my dance on with Just Dance Wii!
8. This past year I had a run in with a bee in my ear and now I have a slight freakout whenever I hear or see one close to me.
9. My closet is full of greys, blacks, whites, and a few tans. I love wearing neutrals and flowy shirts.
10. If I could burn a Watermelon Lemonade candle from Bath and Body Works every day, I would. It is my favorite scent ever!!
11. Harry Potter audio books are my favorite. Listening to them has made me fall in love with those books all over again.
12. Olive Gardens Zuppa Toscana, salad, and breadsticks are some of my favorite foods ever!
13. If I could eat ice cream every day I think I would, especially if it was oatmeal cookie batter from Cold Stone with raspberries and cookie dough mixed in.
14. I did that bleach blonde thing to my hair in high school… won’t make that mistake again.
15. Growing up, I was the youngest and ONLY girl with four older brothers. I was spoiled rotten!
16. I played a lot of sports, but volleyball was definitely my favorite. I wish I could play more often.
17. I met my husband at a bowling alley while I was wearing a bright orange tie around my head… Here’s that story.
18. This year I set a goal to learn calligraphy and now thanks to my sweet friend Meghan and her amazing birthday gift, I’m going to start this week!
19. South Africa is my #2 place to see on my bucket list right after Europe.
20. In our marriage I have to kill the spiders and Logan kills the moths. Logan is terrified of spiders and I’m terrified of moths.
21. I could spend all day longboarding and playing frisbee golf
22. I’m a Mario Kart Wii champ! It’s my favorite video game.
23. Every January and February I get into a crazy spring cleaning mode. I send bags and bags to the DI!

I just turned 23 and what am I going to do next?! I’m going to Disneyland!! But really… any advice on Disneyland trips?! We will be there next week celebrating our ANNIVERSARY!!
