Every October, a giddy type of excitement comes over me as my mom and I sit down and start talking about plans for the annual Fowler Family Halloween party, a tradition my sister-in-law Carrie and I started 4 years ago while they lived in Shelley. We all get together for dinner, games, and really just a good time to all be together. We haven’t all been together at one of these parties since the very first year. ย This year we were missing my sister in law Lindsey because she was in the hospital after just having her third baby, Grace!! We are so excited to have another baby in the family and are happy that she and Lindsey are both doing great!
Every year, we all come sporting costumes that we usually don’t tell each other about, so we have no idea what the others are coming dressed up as. Logan and I usually wait until the last minute to officially decide what we are going to be- last year we waited until the day of… procrastination at it’s finest. But this year, I got it done the day before! Ha! ๐ Logan has been busy with school this semester, so I took over the costumes and we were planning on being Peter Pan and Tinkerbell until I came across a picture of the Incredibles and Syndrome on Pinterest and a girl had her hair spiked up. That was enough for me to decide to go with that one- but it worked better on my hair the next day when we went to the Peterson’s for some fun and games!
This years dinner was a variety of soups and salads with frankenstein pudding cups and caramel apples for dessert. We played a variety of games like a spider web maze outside, punch a pumpkin, that funny mouth game with those dental mouth stretchers with Halloween phrases, and the eyeball bounce. We had more games planned, but we all just hung out together and seemed to just enjoy being together more than anything this year! For those of you wondering, my Dad had chemo last week a few days before the party, but he did play and enjoy the party with us!

I remember all the crazy fun Fowlers in English class when they had me as Mrs. Campbell. Now I’m Mrs. Thomas and I teach in Challis, but miss those fun kids. I think Jared once stole your Barbies and a horse for a presentation. Too fun. Fun family! !!
Don’t worry, we are all still crazy fun!! ๐
