A few months ago I got an email from Katelyn inquiring about weddings and if I was available for her date. Right away I could tell that Katelyn and Patrick were a good fit with me and that we were going to have a great time with their pictures. We had a date scheduled and I couldn’t have been more excited. I had bumped into Katelyn a few times in between our consultation and their date and she was getting more excited and as she told about the look she wanted and the kind of outfits she was working on getting, I knew their session would be perfect! The day finally came for their engagement session and in the morning it was POURING! But it cleared up and we decided it would be good to still go into Island Park that evening… until it started storming again and never let up. All that excitement, and we had to reschedule! It was killing me to wait to work with these two, but we rescheduled for a few days later and the weather could not have been any better.
We met up at her apartment and made the drive into Island Park the scenic way to avoid the road construction and hit a TON of bugs on the way. When we pulled into our first location, we walked past the cabin and into a meadow that was filled with that glowy light that is every photographer’s dream. And as we started shooting I realized that I not only had the dreamy light, but also the kind of couple that was dreamy too. From the way they looked at each other to the way they laughed, the way Patrick looked at Katelyn like he never wanted to look away from her, it all added up to an AMAZING session. These two have the cutest story and the sweetest love. They know how to laugh together, support each other, and have fun! I’m SOOO glad we got to work with them and I can hardly wait for their bridals and wedding!!!
